Make plans now to get the most of National Park Week, April 16-24, by booking a tour from Las Vegas to some of the most impressive and breathtaking national parks in the United States. Originally proclaimed by the presidents in 1991, National Park Week was designed to bring attention to some of America's protected national treasures and encourage people of all ages to get outdoors. Although there are more than 225 national park sites in the United States, TourGuy.com would like to bring attention to those national parks within our service area from Las Vegas, including Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah. In addition to highlighting some of our tours that can take you to several national parks, please consider taking the time to volunteer to help national parks in your area.
Currently, there are more than 400 national parks in the United States that could use assistance. In the past, volunteers in our parks have included as many as 137,000 people who donate 5.2 million hours of service to the national parks every year. Not only do their efforts help make our parks more enjoyable, but it also saves our government as much as $91.2 million every year.
National Parks in Arizona near Las Vegas.
• Grand Canyon National Recreation Area is one of the most popular natural destinations from Las Vegas. In fact, it is so popular that TourGuy.com offers as many as a dozen different tours, both inside the park and as guests of the Hualapai Nation.
As one of the Eight Natural Wonders Of The World, Grand Canyon National Recreation Area is a breathtaking and powerful landscape with more than 277 river miles. At the South Rim, the canyon overwhelms visitors in its grandeur as they look down more than 1.6 kilometers to see the Colorado River below.

• Death Valley National Park is much more than the driest and hottest location on Earth. The landscape is an area of beautiful extremes — streaming sand dunes, snow-capped mountains, multicolored rock layers, and water-fluted canyons.
Death Valley, especially the Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells area, has more national treasures within its three million acres of wilderness than almost any other national park. Day trip adventurers will visit sites that include the Artist's Palette, Devil's Golf Course, Badwater, and the Sand Dunes. All of it is enjoyed in the luxurious comfort of an air conditioned SUV.

• Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Lake Mead is an extremely active recreational area with many opportunities for boaters, hikers, and sightseers. In addition to several overflight tours and ground tours that take visitors inside Hoover Dam, TourGuy.com also provides a relaxed (no white water) scenic raft tour down the Colorado River.
Starting at the base of the famous Hoover Dam, rafters enjoy magnificent views of sheer cliffs, abandoned mines, and remnants of an old railroad that once made the Colorado River an active area for commerce during the turn of the century. This calm water tour is one of the most relaxing and provides excellent photo opportunities, including outstanding glimpses of wildlife.
National Parks in Utah near Las Vegas.
• Zion Canyon National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are two of Utah's most visited recreational areas. TourGuy.com has mapped out two phenomenal experiences for visitors that include your choice of one or both parks.
One of the most striking additions to the Zion National Park tour revisits the exact locations where segments of the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” were filmed (watch for an upcoming feature on this special topic). Another stop takes you beyond movie magic and places you at the footsteps of a cemetery that dates back to 1860.
