With Halloween only weeks away, the time to make plans to visit Las Vegas for Halloween 2010 is right now. Over the last few years, the party town capital of the world has transformed itself into one of the nation's hottest Halloween parties on the planet. Not only are there plenty of parties, events, and haunted houses, but the diversity tends to lend itself to fun for everyone. To help you consider the hottest spots for Halloween, TourGuy.com has gone beyond eco-travel and adventure tours to round out what we consider to be the top five Halloween experiences inside Las Vegas. Some of them are fun. Some are sexy. And one of them is as real as you can get as you gaze across the lonely desert while hearing a ghost story or two around a campfire.
Top Five Halloween Experiences In Las Vegas.
• Fetishes And Fantasies. On Saturday, Oct. 30, the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel will turn the Joint into an all-out Halloween bash with its 15th Annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball. Last year, the Halloween Ball was a sellout, with all 6,200 tickets accounted for. Recently, this event was named “one of the top 10 events in the world” by the Travel Channel and “one of the five events to attend before you die” by Maxim Magazine.
It's so outlandish that the Halloween Ball has its own Web site. Just don't mistake this fun event for anything X rated. While you must be 21, there is no nudity or lewd behavior allowed.
• Ghouls And Goblins. Every year, Jason Egan turns the theme park at Circus Circus into the Fright Dome. How scary is it? AOL and the Travel Channel have ranked it among the top five scariest haunted attractions in the nation and every year Egan strives to make it even better.
How does anybody know the Fright Dome will be better? The permanent team responsible for making this one of the scariest places on the planet started making plans in November of last year. If you need any more convincing, take a look at this Fright Dome video clip from 2008.
• Zombies And Street Screams. Downtown Las Vegas will feature an all-out Oktober FrightFest, with live entertainment on two stages after the sun goes down. Don't undersell Saturday night, either. The first Oktober FrightFest will start on Main Street at 11:59 p.m. and continue until 2 a.m.
Last year, the Fremont Street Experience exploded with a Zombie Walk; zombies could be seen drinking at some of the downtown bars, congregating in the street and dancing to the music of Frank & the Steins. While there is no official news of a zombie walk this year, you never really know when those guys will creep up.
• Insiders And Exclusives. If you are looking for a tamer experience, there is only one place to go. The most exclusive club in Las Vegas will be hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Ball at The Stirling Club. Entertainment will be led by popular entertainer Kelly Clinton.
You can keep up with The Stirling Club on its Courtier. One word of caution: the club is ultra private. So, if you want to meet and mingle with celebrities on the inside, make sure you contact the club about membership. Sometimes you can request a guest pass to special events too.
• Cowboys And Indians. While TourGuy.com offers several dozen tours departing from Las Vegas, Halloween is the perfect time to book any number of horseback riding adventures that will make your Halloween experience as true to life as possible. The Travel Channel calls it the closest you'll ever come to an experience like the movie City Slickers. If you book the Wild West Sunset BBQ Dinner Horseback Ride, real working cowboys are certain to tell you some spooky tales during the authentic cowboy cookout under the stars. Best of all, whether you plan for a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday tour, you'll be back to your hotel with plenty of time to head out to all the late night Halloween parties.
In addition to being fastest-growing eco- and adventure tour specialists in Las Vegas, TourGuy.com can help groups schedule events from start to finish in Las Vegas.
